- 1). Turn the clippers off and with your thumb ease the original clipper blade away from the body of the clippers. Extend them as fully as possible. The blade will now sit about 1/2 inch from the body of the clipper.
- 2). Slide the clipper blade up and off of the tongue. Clean the original blades and put them in a safe place. Use a soft brush to clean any remaining hair off the body of the clipper.
- 3). Turn on the clippers. Take your size 5 blade out of the packaging and slide it onto the tongue as far as they will go.
- 4). Snap the blade onto the body by pushing it together. Make sure they are sitting tightly and not rattling around. If they are rattling pull it open again and adjust your blade to make sure it is sitting properly on the clippers. Dirty clippers can make it harder for blades to sit properly, so make sure they are clean.
